From 1 October 2025: all NHS GP practices will be required to keep their online consultation services open during core hours (08:00–18:30) to allow patients to submit non-urgent appointment requests, medication queries, and administrative tasks.
How to contact us:
In line with updated NHS guidance, our practice will be using Accurx Total Triage to manage all patient requests.
You will now need to submit GP or Minor Illness appointment requests, medication queries and admin requests (e.g. forms, letters, sick notes) online during core hours:
Monday to Friday 08.00-18.30
No login or account is required — simply complete the online form to ensure your request is directed appropriately
You may also submit a request on behalf of a family member, friend, or a child under your care.
If you are vulnerable, elderly, or unable to access online services, please call reception who will assist you in completing the triage form.
To access the form, please click on the link below:
You can also access the form by calling the surgery and selecting Option 1 to receive a text link or alternatively via the NHS online website.
For Urgent Medical Needs:
If you think you have a medical emergency or need help urgently the same day, do not use the online form. Instead, please:
– Call us directly on 01462 732200
– Or call 111 or 999 in an emergency
For Booking Other Types of Appointments:
Nursing, Physiotherapy, Phlebotomy and Health Care Assistant services, will remain directly bookable by contacting reception.
What Happens When You Submit a Accurx Medical Request?
- Please complete the triage form with as much detail as possible to help us direct your request to the most appropriate clinician and provide the best care.
- Your request will then be reviewed by our clinical triage team.
- We will respond via text message with the next steps — this may include a same-day appointment, a routine appointment or you may be signposted to an alternative service.
⏱️ We aim to respond to non-urgent queries within 5 working days.
Please note that if there is a more suitable service for your symptoms or needs, or if the practice has reached its appointment capacity for the day, you may be signposted to an alternative service.
Home visits
Patients who are too unwell to visit the surgery may request a home visit. Requests for home visits should be made before 9:30am. The care navigator will ask for a brief description of your illness to assist the doctor.
Requests for emergency visits will be put through to the duty doctor and triaging nurse. The doctor or nurse may phone to assess your condition, and you may be asked to attend the surgery.
Dedicated clinics
We provide specialised clinics for test results and long-term conditions. If you are booking for either of these, please schedule through Accurx or contact reception at 01462 732200.
Extended access
Appointments with a GP or practice nurse are now available in the evenings and weekends for patients registered at this practice, these are called extended access appointments.
We are working with other practices in Bedfordshire to provide these additional appointments to increase access to healthcare at times that are convenient to patients.

However, please note that if your appointment requires observations to ensure you receive the appropriate treatment or care plan – such as for a chest infection, where your chest needs to be listened to – it will need to be scheduled as a face-to-face appointment.
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
Your phone must be able to receive phone calls from withheld numbers as our phone number is automatically withheld. – Please note we will only make two attempts to call you, if you do not answer your appointment will be marked as did not attend and you will be required to rearrange should you still need assistance.
Preference for particular healthcare professionals
You have the right to express a preference of which healthcare professional you wish to see.
When submitting your Accurx triage form please specify if you have a preference of clinician. The triage team will try to accommodate your request by assessing the appropriateness of your reason for booking with the clinician you are requesting.
